Odd... Nothing I can do about. Perhaps you could try a bit harder before you give up and jump to conclusions since this REPO is hosted at a mayor ISP with big irons. # Han -- (O_ //\ V_/_ shocked penguin

Perhaps you could not waste time responding in rude fashion to automated emails and just wait out whatever DNS problem the host is having. Matt (jaeger@freenode/#crux)

Odd... Nothing I can do about. Well yes, you could start by reading my earlier post to the list which explains it.

That sounds like a probable cause indeed, but how do you like my suggestion, the one you cut away? :-) # Han -- \ / Keep honking while I reload. )\__/( |(oO)| \||/ Ts (OO) +vVv------vVv----------------------------------------------------------+
That sounds like a probable cause indeed, but how do you like my suggestion, the one you cut away? :-) [Trying harder to sync] Why not. I added a test to check whether DNS is working, and avoid running any httpup's if there seems to be a DNS problem. This should fix

Well there can be all kinds of network problems so I would like to suggest that you let the script retry a few times and only after a few timeouts send a private warning. Most of the remote network problems are solved automatically. If all repo's fail it's safe to assume the problem is local.
I might have done that yesterday already if you'd worded your request a bit friendlier.
