Thank you kindly :) I take it there aren't many repos in the list yet ? only 82 ports on count here... Q: How are we expected to test this new contrib ? I have a) Read the documents, b) downloaded the contrib-test.httpup c) tagged some ports in my repo cheers James -- -- -"Problems are Solved by Method" -

I take it there aren't many repos in the list yet ? only 82 ports on count here... Currently, we have five repos, and you are the first we haven't asked to take part. I'm kinda hoping to get more people interested in that, but I'm not sure whether the length of the announcement made people ignore it.
Q: How are we expected to test this new contrib ? Well, what needs testing is mainly the concept and the setup (notifications etc.). We'll have to see what kind of questions come up, how to deal with problems, whether we need some kind of protocol how to
You can see the sync log including the sync'ed repos at http://clc.morpheus.net/files/prtsync.log proceed when seeing conflicts etc. So basically if we have a good number of participants and have no complaints whatsover, we can consider the test to be satisfied. As soon as we feel confident about it all, we'll ask the users to use mainly use this collection to get third party ports. This will then be the second test of the collection, and finally we'll have to see whether it stands the test of time, or go unnoticed and become outdated soon.
