Hi to all Crux Ports contributors!
Hi! A short discription of mine: My name is Wolfram Gerlach and I am using Linux for approx. 10 years now. I am new to Crux (~2 weeks now) but I love it, 'cause I use NetBSD on laptop and FreeBSD on webserver and there are similar ports/pkgsrc systems which I like. (Yeah, pkgsrc is ported to Linux - but it's more difficult...) I live in Frankfurt/Main and work for a big automotive company. Not in software department... I am a developer for analogue electronics. Feel free to ask me if you have questions. :) You can find my small (now...) repository here: http://www.eckigesauge.de/crux/ports/ Feel free to test. :) Wolfram. -- Wolfram Gerlach = http://www.wolfram.name = http://www.EckigesAuge.de PGP-Key = 6653CDE5 Wolfram Gerlach <mail@wolfram.name> Fingerprint = 0884 2275 C283 47E4 8330 42A4 003A 3795 6653 CDE5

Hi Wolfram, I've tested your port and I have to say that I cannot build it. It seems that I don't have a necessary dependency which isn't in the 'Depends on' line. I have attached a build log of the process. Regards Simon

Thanks for the introduction. Just to avoid a missunderstanding, this list is not for general crux ports contributors but for the 'contrib' subproject, providing the contrib ports collection (see [1] for more information). General ports discussions are better of on the regular crux mailing list. Regarding your repository, you may want to register it with the ports database on http://crux.nu/portdb/index.php?command=register to make sure others find your ports more easily. Yeah, I know. Don't ask my I joined this list first... Currently this list is not really "appropriate" for me. But interesting of course. :) And Crux is my first distribution which was "love at the first sight". :)

Hello and nice to have another "cruxer" :) I'm a electronics technician and sound engineer, also have ports you'll find as Romster (in prologic ports). Maybe we could exchange ideas :) Hmm about 6 months into a Linux desktop PC. Ex windows user, but been on and off Linux for years and not new to Linux servers. EckigesAuge wrote:
