[clc-devel] New CLC maintainer + New ports

Hi All, I made up new ports for Crux and I want to commit them in Crux cvs. I respected all parts of building a port (like described on the wiki) and I tested them very well before. This is the list: 1) I repackaged the unmaintained 'wmCalClock' to take account of the CFLAGS parameter with the last version of wmCalClock. 2) I repackaged the unmaintained 'LIBEVENT'. It's really a mistake to lose this excellent library. I also used the last release. 3) 'ERLANG' language: an open source, powerful langugae used in high availabilty/folt tolerant systems (+ emacs-mode) 4) 'REBOL' language: I packaged both 'rebol/core' and 'rebol/view' with their emacs-mode 5) 'WMI': a new lightweight, customizable window manager for power user 6) 'RE2C': an improved lexical parser generator, 2 or 3 times faster than lex/flex. For the ports 1 and 2, I want to become the new maintainer? For the rest, I'm your man. In general, each port contains a README file which describe it and some other infos (compiling options, emacs-mode, ...). Please found attached the ports. Regards, Younès HAFRI

Hi everybody I finaly finished my new homepage. I completly rewrote the php and css code to solve the layout-problems in small browser windows. I also rewrote and improved the portsdatabase: - new navigation layout - description field is now searchable - added some nice statistics - added a chat-like comments area - adding a repository fails now if it already exists -> update function - merged everything into one script for easier maintaining I holpe you like the new design, layout and functions. Please report bugs and opinions. btw.: any ideas what has happened to these repostories: - hnc - plutor - tlo And there is a problem with the unmaintained repository: The Pkgfile for lm_sensors is missing. hi all, here at CRUX PPC we have troubles with cvsup/cm3 (the only modula3 compiler that works on PPC_LINUX) on systems with newer glibc (nptl). i'm writing a "driver" for "ports" that uses the normal cvs client to sync the local repository with the remote files instead of cvsup... seems it works well. it require an anonymous access to the cvs server, we're testing it for PPC base and opt ports collection from the sunsite's cvs server. we have in mind to include it in the upcoming CRUX PPC 2.0 release instead of cvsup, so can we have an anonymous access to the CLC ports repository? cptn on freenode has told to me that you're using cvs on ssh, it's not a problem, we can work on the "driver" to works throught ssh. thank you, regards -- Giulivo Navigante GnuPG KeyID: E468396A
