Hi,
2.3-rc1 is available here:
http://crux.nu/~sip/test/
Changes since 2.3-test1:
- xorg 7.2
- gcc 4.1.2
- kernel 2.6.20.1
- bunch of minor port updates and adjustements
To-do:
- Update Changelog and handbook (sorry forgot to get the new one)
Things that requires testing:
- Updating: the x11->xorg switch is totally
untested at this time. Some volunteer to test
a 2.2->2.3 upgrade?
Regards,
Simone

Hi,
i have just reviewed the handbook and there appeared some questions to
me i'd like to discuss.
1.) It looks like the docbook version of the handbook has not been
updated for some time. Do we want to drop the docbook version and only
maintain the wiki page? This eases the maintenance, but on the other
site we only have the html and the txt view.
2.) Regarding a fakeroot advice in the handbook: should i merge the
existing FakerootPorts wiki page with the handbook or do we want to keep
this page. I suggest the second way: Only a short hint in the handbook
refering to the detailed wiki page.
3.) Another idea i have is to add an advice to prtverify in the "Package
Guidelines"-section. What do you think?
4.) The "Supported Hardware"-section: Will there still be an i586 image
for 2.3? And what changes were made for the included drivers?
5.) Last question: What is the "setup-chroot" command for?
Regards,
Till
