Hey, I'd like to introduce a idea of mine to make sure I don't forget about it ;-) I think it could be a nice idea to have some kind of way to request software to be ported for CRUX. Before everyone goes wild I don't want this to be public, more of an internal thing: I sometimes find software I think would fit very well in our projects, but don't have the experience with this kind of software nor need to port it. In such a case I'd just create a porting request hoping that someone might pick it up. Hej, I build a new package for pptp client without I would not be able to connect to the world. Many dsl-providers use this protocol. I propose to put it into opt/ of crux's iso image. [clc-devel] RFC: a script to check availability of updates

Hi everybody, I'm putting together a set of scripts to automatically check for new releases of packages. I currently maintain few ports in CLC, more are planned and I needed a way to automate the search for new releases. I attach an archive with a preliminary system of main script + tests + config file. Please refer to the README file for detailed description and other infos. Comments and contributions are welcome, inspite I won't have many time in the next 2 weeks (exams approaching). [clc-devel] configure Option and gphoto2 / libgphoto2

Hi, i have seen that Arnaud MAZIN updated gphoto2 and libgphoto2, but libgphoto2 has (junk) files in /usr/share/doc. Here some general question: Why so many libraries and application are compiled with static option in configure? Why the option --disable-dependency-tracking is sometimes not enabled? Hi everybody, A quick update regarding the automated building process of clc /contrib packages, The script is ready, I launched a test last week-end, only to find out that I didn't considered an important question: there are no dependencies in /opt ports. As a consequence, many of the clc ports will fail to compile when there's a dependency from /opt that requires another package from /opt (ie gtk - glib - xfree86 ) To solve the problem I'm manually tracking down dependencies for /opt ports; I'll use custom version of such ports with deps listed in Pkgfile. Ok, that was a short post just to say that I'm still alive and playing with the automatic build idea. As usual, don't expect anything soon (some trouble with university, plus we're closing our small company these days). I'll post the results of the first full clc build in the future. I won't bother you all any longer until that time. Regards, Simone

Anyway I've started downloading wine again and ill test it out soon before releasing the port. I think the cause is actually my Pkgfile :(. The move command is keeping the pervious permissions (1000/users) from the source. I'll use the 'install' command from now on.
