because of a major issue I've just downgraded flex to version
2.5.33 because 2.5.34 has at least one major issue:
- lex [1] uses %a, %p etc. constructs to ajust the size of
several internal parameters. According to the manual [2]
flex should silently ignore those, but 2.5.34 issues
not-fatal errors and, more important, creates broken output.
You can see that with opt/libpcap which builds but breaks at
runtime.
