I don't know much about SVN yet - is it possible to create a branch for this or would we get our 'own' repository (one per architecture). We could host certain architectures in the same repository, but we shouldn't make that a requirement.
I'd like to see a setup which doesn't depend on a particular revision control system, since this will make it easier for new ports to get started.
