Simone Rota [2007-02-16 03:47]: Hi Simone,
now that xorg 7.2 is out we are short of excuses for holding back the 2.3 release (hint: we'll wait for xorg 7.3 ;))
Yes :)
Assuming Tilman is already working on the xorg repo, I think there are still a few open questions, so I suggest a IRC meeting for next tuesday at 20.00 CET.
ACK.
Generally speaking, I think most of the 2.3 related work has already been done for the 2.3-test1 iso, which I've been using daily with no problems since last december.
Yes, I still need to fix the handbook for the Xorg installation though.
I hope we can put out a RC in the next couple of weeks and a release shortly after that.
Last, we've had a number of retired developers later, some discussion about the focus of the project and plans for the future would help us getting the job done with less effort. Anyway, I propose we concentrate on the 2.3 release for now and solve non-technical issues later on.
ACK. Regards, Tilman -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?
