I think it could be a nice idea to have some kind of way to request software to be ported for CRUX. [cut]
Good idea. In Debian it is handled by filing a ITP (intend to package) bug report which can be sent by mail. Then it's also listed at the webpage and in the mailing list archives. I think, this is a quite good solution. Do you have any other (better) idea to do this?
Sounds interesting. And it could fit well with cvstrac at clc: a new ticket category (port request?) and a custom report (Wanted ports) would be fine. Other ideas? Well, depends on what we want. My intend was to have this as an internal wish list, which is not possible in cvstrac if we want anonymous user to file bug reports on the ports.
If change notification is not a must, we could use the CVSTrac Wiki, which is readable to everyone but only editable by CLC members. Johannes -- Johannes Winkelmann mailto:jw@tks6.net Biel, Switzerland http://jw.tks6.net
