Can somebody (with a better overview/knowledge than me :-) ) please compile a list of (therefore orphaned) essential ports? (if there are any) I have looked through the attic and contrib-old repositories, but it is hard for me to decide which of them have to/should be in {core, opt, contrib}. Or may be you want to hand over some already adopted/maintained ports to me to partition the burden.
Anyway, I propose we concentrate on the 2.3 release for now and solve non-technical issues later on.
