There's a patch which is supposed to fix it, but since it's not been queued for addition yet and test1's focus is not to test a kernel, I'm rebuilding with 2.6.15.6 now. Okay, here's the update: http://crux.nu/~jw/2.2/crux-2.2-test1-test2.iso
It's using 2.6.15.6, and has an activated setup-helper which removes devfsd, adds udev and dependencies, and renames pkgconfig to pkg-config. There's also a plain 2.1 qemu hd image available at http://crux.nu/~jw/2.2/crux-2.1.hda.bz2 (with swiss german keyboard layout :-)). I've verified that an update works with the new ISO, so you can boot from 2.2, run setup/update, install the new kernel, and after a reboot you'll have a nice udev enabled 2.2. Therefore, I'm asking everybody interested in it to test it; I propose this to become test1 unless we find any major problems.
