I think it could be a nice idea to have some kind of way to request software to be ported for CRUX. Before everyone goes wild I don't want this to be public, more of an internal thing: I sometimes find software I think would fit very well in our projects, but don't have the experience with this kind of software nor need to port it. In such a case I'd just create a porting request hoping that someone might pick it up.
Good idea. In Debian it is handled by filing a ITP (intend to package) bug report which can be sent by mail. Then it's also listed at the webpage and in the mailing list archives.
