#18: pkg-get bug --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Id: 18 | Status: new Component: ports | Modified: Tue Dec 20 08:23:24 2005 Severity: normal | Milestone: Priority: normal | Version: Owner: per | Reporter: centericq@ukr.net --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Well, after I've done pkg-repgen on my packages, I receive the following: {{{ grim$ pkg-get diff pkg-get: /crux/pkgrepo/PKGREPO appears to be in wrong format! Aborting. }}} After a quick view of pkg-get source it seems like the problem caused by an prt-get update, which pkg-get didn't catched yet... -- Ticket URL: <http://crux.nu/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/18> CRUX <http://crux.nu/> CRUX
#18: pkg-get bug --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Id: 18 | Status: new Component: ports | Modified: Tue Dec 20 10:28:38 2005 Severity: normal | Milestone: Priority: normal | Version: Owner: per | Reporter: centericq@ukr.net --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Comment (by cohan): I experienced the same problem after upgrading to the new rsync ports structure, but the reason was quite simple: building the new pkgrepo "failed": pkg-get repgen Package 'fam' not found Package 'imlib' not found Package 'lynx' not found this does not look like a critical error, but the repo produced when such a "not found" message occured while generating the repository leads to unuseable PKREPO's obviously pkg-get needs information from the ports tree to complete its REPO solution: remove the binary packages not present in your current ports tree OR provide the old ports as well furthermore, the readme of pkg-get says that the repo format slightly changed, but i guess you updated both pkg-repgen and pkg-get on all affected systems, so this should not be an issue -- Ticket URL: <http://crux.nu/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/18> CRUX <http://crux.nu/> CRUX

#18: pkg-get bug --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Id: 18 | Status: closed Component: ports | Modified: Tue Dec 20 19:09:41 2005 Severity: normal | Milestone: Priority: normal | Version: Owner: sip | Reporter: centericq@ukr.net --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Changes (by sip): * resolution: => fixed * status: assigned => closed Comment: Thanks, fixed in [423]. pkg-repgen now produces well-formed repo files even if the port is missing. Not sure if i prefer this approach rather than aborting generation and reverting to the old repo, anyway this one is quicker.
