Hi, some month ago[1] we briefly discussed on the ML about adopting a new mascot for CRUX/CLC. This month I finally had the possibility to get in contact with an old fiend of mine who does art/design and asked him for a sketch of a raccoon (which seemed the most voted animal in the ML thread). I planned to bring the argument to CRUXCON 2005 but since I can't attend, here's the sketch: http://www.varlock.com/tmp/raccoon-sketch.jpg Please let me know if there's some interest in developing/finishing up such a thing, and eventually if there's some feedback to report to my friend. Thanks for your attention, Regards, Simone [1] https://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/clc-devel/2004-November/000674.html -- Simone Rota WEB : http://www.varlock.com Bergamo, Italy MAIL: sip@varlock.com

Hi, I like it, too. It's really nice and I think it would be a great new mascot for Crux. Regards Simon

Quick update: here's a version wth more refined lines and an outline: http://www.varlock.com/tmp/raccoon_sketch_2.jpg Do not bother with the colors (I slightly prefer the old brown), once we vectorialize the pic we can play with colors as we like. Would this image be scaleable easily or will there be a version with just the head for the crux buttons or something like that. I like it. V

Sure, the final image will be in SVG format.
