Hi, i think we should reconsider the "public wiki" approach: http://crux.nu/Public/TrackingDevelopmentUsingRss?action=diff One solution might be preventing automated modifications: http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/Captcha What do you think? Regards, Till -- http://www.tbmnet.de

I agree. Captchas seems to be the best approach. But pmwiki-cookbook said: Prerequisites: pmwiki-2.2.0-beta46 The installed version is pmwiki-2.1.21. Is it save to upgrade ? Where could problems pop up ? Should we also update PHP from 5.2.2 to 5.2.3 ? May be I can do some tests on a copy this week. It's necessary. Captchas are quite good to block most of the crap.

I don't know your host, but I didn't run into any PHP problems on CRUX 2.3 with: PHP 5.2.3 (cli) (built: Jun 7 2007 02:58:34) Copyright (c) 1997-2007 The PHP Group Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2007 Zend Technologies Regards, -- Clemens Koller __________________________________ R&D Imaging Devices Anagramm GmbH Rupert-Mayer-Straße 45/1 Linhof Werksgelände D-81379 München Tel.089-741518-50 Fax 089-741518-19 http://www.anagramm-technology.com

I had tested a copy of pmwiki-Installation form crux.nu locally. It plays without an upgrade of pmwiki or php. !!! NOW, Captchas are enabled on crux.nu/Public !!! The following things changed: Site.EditForm: (:if group Public:)Enter value: {$Captcha} (:input captcha:)(:ifend:)\ local/config.php: if (preg_match("/Public[\/\.]/", $pagename)) { include_once('cookbook/captcha.php'); $EnablePostCaptchaRequired = 1; } I hope it works. Please let me know, if something is broken. Or simply reverse changes. -- Falk Hamann, IT T +49-7191-9669-242, Falk.Hamann@dbaudio.com, www.dbaudio.com d&b audiotechnik AG, Eugen-Adolff-Str. 134, 71522 Backnang, Germany Vorsitzender des Aufsichtsrats: Hilmar Schill; Vorstand: Frank Bothe, Markus Strohmeier Finanzen: Kay Lange, Marketing: Simon Johnston, Vertrieb: Peter Tongue Sitz: Backnang; Amtsgericht - Registergericht - Stuttgart, HRB 270952
