Hi Guys, Just like to ask about the "libstdc++-compat" provided on the ISO. The one that I have (that comes with the ISO) appears to be a 32bit package? Is that correct? Over the past week or so, I have been trying to get the ATi drivers working on my system, and while the settings all appear to be correct the driver isn't loading. (even the X log shows it loading and initialising). After a bit of troubleshooting, I've found that the ATi driver required "libstdc++.so.5". Since a 64bit version doesn't exist on the system, the driver won't load... Is it possible to obtain a 64bit build of this library? (and the others included in the libstdc++-compat package)? Darran

[Clc-crux64] Building gcc 4.1

I am trying to build the gomp branch of gcc. I get this message. I must not have something pointing to the right directory. I am using the gcc 4.0 version of x86_64 Crux. It seems to be running fine except I can't install Thunderbird which I did with the previous version. Daniel -- It seems you dropped aacraid out of your build... and I don't happen to have a floppy drive in my server. Any suggestions to an easy resolution? Could I perhaps get your kernel config, so I can recompile with it aacraid, and attempt to update the boot cd with ISOLINUX? (never used it before) Thanks in advance, David

Hey all -- I'm new to Crux64 as of yesterday, at present I'm using Daniel Mueller's (STABLE) image. I'm trying to install VMware GSX Server.... emphasis on trying, it's giving me a real hard time. I've gotten the base to install, however vmware-authd needs PAM... more specifically, 32bit PAM. [Clc-crux64] gcc 4.1 ?

What would I have to change in the gcc port if I wanted to build gcc 4.1. I would like to keep it in a separate tree so it would not interfere with the present compiler. Do you know if there is a port of GMP for 64 bit?? Ron Young
