[Clc-crux64] changes to x86_64 port repositories
Hi folks, In order to reduce redundancy and some minor confusion, I'm about to change what I keep in my base-x86_64 and opt-x86_64 ports repositories: I'll be keeping there _only_ ports that differ from mainline crux (gcc, glibc, etc.). If you're using my crux-x86_64 release, this has a couple ramifications for you if you wish to keep your system up-to-date: 1. You'll have to either a) install the cvsup32 + glibc32 + zlib32 ports from opt-x86_64, and start grabbing mainline crux ports from Per's repos; or b) get the base.httpup and opt.httpup files for the clc httpup mirror of mainline crux ports. 2. If you use prt-get, make sure your prt-get.conf looks something like this: prtdir /usr/ports/base-x86_64 prtdir /usr/ports/base prtdir /usr/ports/opt-x86_64 prtdir /usr/ports/opt If you're using the prt-get.conf that's installed from the prt-get package on the iso image, you're probably ok. Otherwise, it's up to you. This should help keep our x86_64 systems more up to date than they'd be if you trust me to keep my ports repositories synched with mainline crux. This change will take effect at some point today, May 2nd. Also, I've started building up a personal repository of contrib-x86_64 and unmaintained-x86_64 -- where we need patches, etc, that aren't in mainline clc ports. If you have any of your own, please feel free to send them to me (no source code or compiled packages, please!). I plan to make these repositories public within the next couple days. Thanks, Jeremy
