/dev/null permissions

Strange problem. Updated fluxbox on 2 machines, one using prt-get update and the other pkgmk -d then pkgadd -u fluxbox.... On both machine this changed the permissions of /dev/null to not writeable by non-root users. The .footprint file shows nothing for that file. Any suggestions? Thanks, Joe

Upgrading from 2.1 to 2.2

Hello, Just a newbie question. I'm allready in posession of a 2.1 system and wants to upgrade to 2.2 in the smoothest possible way. I see no description in the docs on how to perform this. Any suggestions? Regards, Helge Fredriksen

Hi all, I just installed Crux 2.2 with Adaptec 2120S controller. All went fine but after booting CRUX sees the RAID BUT also the the drives as two single drives. Any ideas what issue can it be? Thanks in advance

Because the Debian kernel was configured by people who know how to do that in order to get most things working for most people. This is unlike CRUX where the user is expected to know what he needs or wants. If you want things working but aren't very good at making them work yourself, you should really reconsider your distro choice.
