Hello.
Unfortunately the thousand cuts of the Psychopath, including the
no-no of messing with one's ports, and my gut reactions on it,
finally resulted in Jürgen moving me out.
That is a pity.
Well surely i never have been a appreciated member of (the) CRUX
(contrib) (community).
I am a happy CRUX user, minus the detoriation that the Psychopath
causes in the system, and minus the unfortunate truth that several
aspects of the system are not in good shape (for example random
seed) or could be improved but which does not happen, including
bug reports on such issues which simply are not dealt with.
Anyhow, i personally could imagine using AlpineLinux or VoidLinux
(again), but CRUX really just fits what i want and need, and so
for now (and hopefully for long) this is just a move away from the
second contribution line. To where many of you are per se.
So i have updated start-stop-daemon in that special CRUX git repo
once again, another release just happened to happen around that
time, and i did maintain some ports in contrib:
$ git grep -li steffen|while read f;do echo $(dirname $f);done
acpid
bluealsa
bmake
bogofilter-lmdb
cwm
doxygen
dtach
encfs
ipcalc
iw
kexec-tools
lighttpd
lmdb
nawk
pam_xdg
postfix-lmdb
qemu-efi-bin
s-cdda-to-db
s-cdda
s-postgray
slock
sox
st
tcc
usocks
wireguard-tools
xclip
yt-dlp
All these ports i personally need (but usocks, no more), and so
i will keep on maintaining them in my personal repository (for an
unknown period of time):
$ v stenur.git
NAME=stenur
URL=https://git.sdaoden.eu/scm/crux-ports.git
BRANCH=master
$ v stenur.httpup
# /etc/ports/stenur.httpup: Steffen( Nurpmeso)'s port additions
ROOT_DIR=/usr/ports/stenur
URL=https://www.sdaoden.eu/crux/ports
I have changed my signify key though, it now is
untrusted comment: steffen(a)sdaoden.eu public key
RWR3vzfQxghE/sh0Z+7BIfmmalVzCFOHJQ+jjpst4mew+hyORlWWEKyd
(i was stupid enough to use a passphrase for the first one),
and it would be nice if that key would be updated on the CRUX web
page of external contributions.
Thank you.
Ciao!
P.S.: thanks to all the contributors, especially of those
$ prt-get listinst|wc -l
333
packages that i use!
P.P.S.: calendar now uses outils 0.12 that is anyway needed by the
system, qemu-efi-bin needs an update, but i need to test first.
