You could cp -r them ports and edit them how you like in your own repository. Get it to work then maybe we will pick out changes, as for glib we wont use unstable development odd numbered versions.

place a prtdir /usr/ports/foo in prt-get.conf above all other lines to over ride opt ports with your versions.
