Hello,<br><br>I&#39;m trying to set up Cups on my crux 2.2 box for parallel printing to a Canon i550. I was kind of thinking using it as a printserver. <br>I enabled parallel port support in the kernel (built in support for all options to be sure I didn&#39;t miss anything).
<br><br>However, I cannot seem to find any /dev/lp stuff or something to hook my printer to the parallel port. I tried /dev/port, but <br>I get this error from CUPS web interface when trying to print a test page:<br><br><h2 class="title">
<span class="message">Unable to open parallel port device file &quot;/dev/port&quot;: Permission denied</span></h2>I get this from lpstat:<br><br># lpstat -p Canoni550<br>printer Canoni550 disabled since Wed Jan 17 21:52:26 2007 -
