I used dd to put the 3.1 ISO onto a USB-stick and that boots nominally. The installer sees all my existing partitions and rightly concludes none are CRUX file systems. It drops me into a shell that I can use to recover. Only one directory in the PATH exists, /bin, and it contains not fdisk, making it impossible to get any further. The Handbook does not indicate a CRUX partition needs to be created prior to booting the installer. -- <not cent from sell> May the LORD God bless you exceedingly abundantly!
