Hi, it is xfce4 running. after prt-get sysup the desktop icons are either missing or corrupted. I have tried what follows but all has been useless this time:
1)I have cleared my saved sessions cache (Settings Manager ->
Session and Startup -> Session tab -> Clear saved sessions). I have logged out
and back in again
2)I have cleared sessions cache by deleting ~/.cache/sessions
Then again in xfce4 session, I tried to re-select icons by:
Settings Manager > Appearance> Icons. It has been no use. I have had the same problem before and I solved the question by both ways that do are not solving the issue this time. No problem with the screen resolution: 1680x1050. I am running nvidia. I have also reinstalled/updated it and it was also useless.
