Indeed, because the default directories for the particular perl release
are there. Can you verify that the module is actually there? The complete
path should be
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/Text/ParseWords.pm

Does it work now?
YES , i reinstall original CRUX2.2 from scratch and it works.
I have a test machine with 2.1 and will try an upgrade again
I have no clue why the upgrade destroyed the whole Perl tree.
Question ? is there a special hint before I migrate to 2.2 with the /etc/pkgadd.conf
