Hello,
I've recently discovered CRUX, and I have a question about it: Since I generally prefer to use the oldest supported stable versions of software, I was wondering what the support policy is for older releases of CRUX. The website doesn't seem to clarify which versions still get security updates and which do not.
Also, how difficult would it be to keep a CRUX system up to date with the oldest still-maintained upstream versions of software?
easy, there is none. You have a very small time frime to update once a new major release is made in which maintainers will update core/opt/contrib, but focus quickly shifts to the latest stable branch. It's not very difficult to keep an system updated on your own, though, provided the fact that you know what you are doing. Feel free to ask away if there is anything. Best regards, Tim
