Hi everyone,
In light of the second time of gstreamer being bumped to the unstable series and breaking webkit and possibly other ports and that I used to maintain gstreamer and gst-plugins-base. I would like to apply for opt access and take back control of these two ports. and possibly pick up some opt orphaned ports wine and related ones specifically might be a few others there too.
Hi Danny, Sorry for not writing until now, have not found the time to write a complete answer. +1 generally, I think we will be good to have your help in opt, but there are a few things I'd like to suggest. First, these kind of emails, conversations, etc. must take place (as has been so far) in our devel list and the irc devel channel, which are where we should maintain internal discussions that affect only the CRUX development and not its users. In the same way, since we are a team you should respect for the work of others. If there is a problem with a crux's stuff or developer then you should first talk to him instead of making some noise in the (general) irc channel. The people who devote their time freely to CRUX does not have to feel pressured in this way. Note that there are some times when you can make a mistake, or have no time (for whatever reason), because we are not machines but humans. Otherwise, I know from experience that your work is (and it should remains) good, but understand that we all have different opinions to the same problem and all should be respected. With respect to gstreamer and the rest, I'm the current maintainer. We'll talk bb! :D Best regards, -- Jose V Beneyto | http://sepen.mine.nu/
