I am trying to install firefox 3.0, and it apparently depends upon dbus (among other packages.)<br>I receive a footprint mismatch reading as follows:<br>============&gt; ERROR: Footprint mismatch found:<br>MISSING&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; -rwsr-x---&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; root/messagebus&nbsp;&nbsp; usr/lib/dbus/dbus-daemon-launch-helper<br>
NEW&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; -rwsr-x---&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; root/root&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; usr/lib/dbus/dbus-daemon-launch-helper<br><br>I understand the concept of the footprint mismatch, however I have not been able to find an explanation of exactly what the above 2 lines mean.&nbsp; MISSING is what?&nbsp; NEW is what?&nbsp; also what is the 2nd field root/messagebus and root/root...that is where the difference resides.&nbsp; Is that owner/group?<br>
