Have any changes been made in /etc/rc.d/{net,wlan}? _______________________________________________
No, no changes since installation back in March. I did create a new log file, and here is what I get on re-boot: May 23 15:17:31 dev: loaded udev May 23 15:17:31 no interfaces have a carrier May 23 15:17:31 forked to background, child pid 1717 May 23 15:17:31 enp0s25: waiting for carrier May 23 15:17:33 enp0s25: carrier acquired May 23 15:17:33 enp0s25: adding address fe80::2f92:6cd1:f250:9916 May 23 15:17:33 DUID 00:01:00:01:1e:74:80:de:00:1e:4f:b0:f4:da May 23 15:17:33 enp0s25: IAID 4f:b0:f4:da May 23 15:17:33 read_lease: truncated lease May 23 15:17:33 enp0s25: soliciting a DHCP lease May 23 15:17:33 enp0s25: truncated packet (280) from 192.168.1.1 May 23 15:17:33 enp0s25: soliciting an IPv6 router May 23 15:17:34 enp0s25: Router Advertisement from fe80::223:6aff:fed1:76 May 23 15:17:34 enp0s25: requesting DHCPv6 information May 23 15:17:38 enp0s25: truncated packet (280) from 192.168.1.1 May 23 15:17:38 enp0s25: probing for an IPv4LL address May 23 15:17:43 enp0s25: using IPv4LL address 169.254.169.134 May 23 15:17:43 enp0s25: adding route to 169.254.0.0/16 May 23 15:17:43 enp0s25: adding default route May 23 15:17:46 enp0s25: truncated packet (280) from 192.168.1.1 May 23 15:18:02 enp0s25: truncated packet (280) from 192.168.1.1 May 23 15:18:35 enp0s25: truncated packet (280) from 192.168.1.1 May 23 15:19:39 enp0s25: truncated packet (280) from 192.168.1.1 I'm not really sure what some of this means, i.e., what a truncated lease is and why there are truncated packets. I'm also not sure why "no interfaces have a carrier" This machine triple-boots CRUX with Gentoo and LFS; both the other OSs use dhcpcd and both acquire leases fine. Any ideas?
