I
just started using gnome the other day and I had a similar problem when
I compiled for the first time. I had installed a port of vmware-server
compiled that depeneded on linux-pam. When I removed linux-pam and
recompiled I didn't get that. Check your footprint mismatches and see
what extra stuff is being compiled in. If it's okay just use pkgadd to
install it anyways. Are you using --install-scripts?
