8G is more than enough. Check df -h and df -i to see how much free space and how many free inodes are available. Maybe there is some runaway process that is logging continually. You can check du -h -d 1 / | sort -r -h to see what directory off of / is the largest. Feel free to stop by irc.freenode.net #crux for more interactive help. Good luck, Ryan
