I very seriously doubt that would cause a hard drive failure. Face it, sometimes hard drives just die.
i don't get it. you said you doubt it is hard-drive failure and then you say "face it, sometimes hard drives just die". i am unable to know the difference between these 2. i re-partitioned that hard-drive and tried to install CRUX but faced with same problem. what exactly you want to convey ? -- http://arnuld.blogspot.com/
