Adobereader crashes every second print - CUPS patch

Since cups-1.4.4 the standalone adobereader crashes when "file/print" is selected the 2n time in a session. There's a link to a patch for cups (https://bugzillafiles.novell.org/attachment.cgi?id=371760) which corrects this annoying behaviour. The patch is made for cups-1.4.4, but also works well with cups-1.4.8 after some small changes; I attach the adjusted version. IMHO it would be a good idea to include it in the official cups port.
