Which iso image for crux should I download for an old 200Mhz Pentium Pro (HP Vectra VL). i586? I thought it was i486, but it wouldn't boot properly from that CD, just went on with Ubuntu which I experimented previously. Helge F. On 3/20/06, Buddy Lindsey <percent20@gmail.com> wrote:
basically you download the bin files then put them in the directory.
usually /usr/ports/opt/j2re and do prt-get depinst j2re and you should be good.

Anywhere to download the ports, or must I compile them myself?

Hello,
Hey,
anyone having experience using Crux with apache/tomcat and JRE 1.5? How do I get java working? Must I "compile" java binaries to get going?
I got java working pretty easyly with the ports that we have, i admit i've never used tomcat but apache and jre worked like a charm.
