Internet Connection

I have downloaded, setup, and installed Crux without any problem. But one of my areas of weakness is setting up and configuring internet connections. I would very much appreciate it if someone can post some step by step instructions on what to do to configure the internet connection, so I can join in on the community, nothing I've entered so far is working.
