Hi,
I will get an thinkpad T420 next week and did some OS research because I'm not sure which OS to pick for it. Currently I'm running Gentoo but I'm not 100% happy with it. I wanted a source based system and stay on the linux side of life ;) (so FreeBSD was out, too). So this is how I came to crux.
I'd like to know if someone has an T420 and can give me some feedback whether everything works fine and so on...
With Crux, I guess you will be even more on your own for system installation, in contrast to Gentoo (e.g. no support for kernel configuration decisions). In any event, you may also end up "not 100% happy" with Crux. But Crux is a good choice for someone determined to go through the Linux installation learning curve. Have fun, and best regards, - Thierry Moreau
