Request of a suggestion

Hi all, I've just installed CRUX-3.4 in a PC of a friend of mine. I had at all no problem just to X install, but now my friend would like to install plasma 5. What to choose: the kde5 or the KF5 way? I've been told that at the moment it seems there are problems with KF5 (many source links in the Package files are not reachable, and to find an alternative is very time consuming and not easy). Someone would kindly give me a suggestion? Thanks.
