swapon after you've chrooted.
From what I understand from the handbook you activate your swap partion *after* you log in. What I need is to specify it *before* I log in.
You can update from with in the system (i had to since i added a sata dvd drive on a sata pic adapter card) switch to single user mode telinit 1 mount the cd or the crux-2.4.iso cd /mnt/cdrom/crux/core pkgrm util-linux pkgadd util-linux-ng for p in *; do pkgadd -u $p done rejmerge rebuild and install kenel run lilo reboot
