Hi,

Re: ifconfig eth0 up: have you tried ifconfig eth1 up or ifconfig eth2 up? Or better change Wicd’s preferences and connect via Wicd. Press Refresh first.

Best regards

Arne

Hej,

With this version,

§1 wired network (eth0) does not connect. Both tried wicd as well as ifconfig eth0 up. Gives "ifconfig: SIOCIFFLAGS failed: no such device"

though wireless works.

§2 Using root to access the internet makes me feel very insecure!! Or do you have something in mind?!
