Crux not multi threading

Hello again! While using Crux I noticed two things that stood out, that cpu-intensive tasks were slower than my previous distro, and that my cpu fan was almost always on. Today, I checked top with the -H flag, and noticed that only two of my cores were being used, the first core was almost at 100 percent usage, while the second was at 0.02 percent usage. Can anyone help me fix this? Thank you!
