Yesterday I installed xfce according to the README files with the one liner command and after some time it looks like the installation work without any problems. But when I do startxfce4 or startxfce I see a command not found error. What went wrong here ? Roelof

In this case it would be a good idea to look for packages provdiding this file: % prt-get fsearch 'startxfce4' Found in /usr/ports/xfce/xfce4-session: /usr/bin/startxfce4

Thanks, I ran into another problem which cannot be solved by fsearch. xfce4-session fails to build on wnck which fails because it cannot find 'Gtk-2.0.gir' When I do prt-get fsearch 'Gtk-2.0.gir' nothing shows up. Roelof

Update the ports: # ports -u and see what's for updating: # ports -d Rebuild and update libwnck, then try installing xfce4-session again with: # prt-get depinst xfce4-session Rex
