CruxEX 2018 – a live build of CRUX 3.4 released 180512 – with LXDE and kernel 4.16.9
A new version of CruxEX is ready. ######################################################### *NEWS ABOUT CruxEX Build 180520 *My previous build of *CruxEX* is from 180321. After that CRUX had released *version 3.4* <https://crux.nu/Main/ReleaseNotes3-4> on May 12, 2018 I simply had to rebuild CruxEX. All packages have been upgraded to the latest available version <http://cruxex.exton.net/cruxex-3.4-installed-packages-180520.txt> (with /prt-get sysup/). Furthermore: This version of CruxEX uses kernel 4.16.9 <https://kernel.org> released 180516! And of course Google Chrome <https://www.google.com/chrome/> for Netflix <http://netflix.com>! Install my new version of CruxEX 3.4 64bit from 180520 to a USB Pen Drive and run the system *superfast from RAM* – read this INSTRUCTION <http://cruxex.exton.net/cruxex-3.4-pen-drive>. CruxEX 3.4 2018 uses the LXDE <http://lxde.org/> Desktop environment. I have replaced the original CRUX kernel 4.14.20 with “my” special kernel *4.16.9-exton*, with support for “extra everything”. * Kernel and installed packages* Kernel 4.16.9 is the latest available stable kernel as of 180520. Among all installed <http://cruxex.exton.net/cruxex-3.4-installed-packages-180520.txt> and updated applications <http://cruxex.exton.net/cruxex-3.4-updated-packages-180520.txt> are Firefox <https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/?utm_medium=referral&utm_source=firefox-com>, Google Chrome <https://www.google.com/chrome/> (for Netflix <http://netflix.com>), Spotify <http://www.spotify.com> (a must-have!), GParted, PCManFM, Gimp and Wicd <http://wicd.sourceforge.net/>. Furthermore compilation tools so that you can install programs from source.
