Update libpng-1.2.22 -> 1.2.23

Hi! Tilan, please update ports/crux-2.4/opt/libpng from 1.2.22 to 1.2.23 1.2.22 is not available at the given source, once a new one is out. (ftp://ftp.simplesystems.org/pub/$name/png/src/$name-$version.tar.bz2 For the sake of consistency and ease of maintenance I would prefer having sources which will stay valid for a while, even when new versions are out... As a general rule, the crux mailing list should not be used for version update requests. Create a ticket at http://crux.nu/bugs or contact the maintainer directly. -- Lucas Hazel <lucas@die.net.au> ================================================= "Clothes make the man. Oh, no problem. I didn't know about that general rule. Do you have a pointer here? Reading http://crux.nu/Main/Bugs doesn't really motivate to file above version change as a bug (it just isn't one). Whereas in: http://crux.nu/Main/MailingLists it says: "suggest improvements and report bugs" ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Well... please update these pages, then. What about moving them over to crux-devel instead? (Tilman, any preferences?) I really don't care where to post as long as I can reduce touching Pkgfiles again and again while building/updating CRUX distros. Oh, no problem. I didn't know about that general rule. Do you have a pointer here? http://crux.nu/Main/Faq#ntoc22 states: "If the port is from the core, base or opt collections, this is considered a bug. Feel free to report it using the ticket system."
Also, I'd say it's common sense that if you direct a mail to an individual, you don't send it to a mailing list address, since the majority of the subscribers aren't Tilmans :-). Hope this helps, Johannes -- Johannes Winkelmann mailto:jw@smts.ch Zurich, Switzerland http://jw.smts.ch
