Finally I have tried to installed Crux 2.8 on a real disk instead of VMware. But still a kernel panic. Here is the message I see :

So, this is CRUX 2.8 x86 (32-bit)? If yes - I can offer you both a kernel .config file and a precompiled binary kernel, which I use on the virtual machines - CRUX 2.8 x86 - but I use grub to load my kernels...
