Hey Chris, Error lines that you provide are not the most descriptive to know what happened. If you want someone to help you provide a better report with the needed lines that are closer to the error. On the other hand, if you're not a robot, it is good practice to start an email with a greeting People on this list are humans :-) Best regards, - Jose

[offtopic] do you configure PKGMK_WORK_DIR=/usr/ports/work? I suggest you to use /usr/ports/work/$name or something similar to avoid conflicts on parallel builds

I am trying to build udisks, ultimately. It gives me:
checking for POLKIT_GOBJECT_1... no configure: error: Package requirements (polkit-gobject-1 >= 0.97) were not met:

So I installed policykit, but I think I also need to install gobject-itrospection.
I never build udisks (the only port I found is from 'bdfy' repository) but after take a fast look in udisk's Pkgfile I noted that the maintainer listed glib2 as dependency but I never ear about glib2 as a port in our portdb [1] IMHO you should contact directly to the port's maintainer to know more about glib2 which seems a requeriment to build udisks. Best regards, [1] http://crux.nu/portdb/?a=search&q=glib2

You have built the ancient version of polkit, it seems (polkit-gobject-1 >= 0.97 is a clue here.) From the polkit-0.110 .footprint: usr/lib/libpolkit-gobject-1.la usr/lib/libpolkit-gobject-1.so -> libpolkit-gobject-1.so.0.0.0 usr/lib/libpolkit-gobject-1.so.0 -> libpolkit-gobject-1.so.0.0.0 usr/lib/libpolkit-gobject-1.so.0.0.0 So, you don't need gobject-introspection, just last version of polkit. And udisks is dead(?), udisks2 is now stable, afaict (I have both installed, too lazy atm to figure out which one gvfs wants :) ) Next time more details would be helpful, like which version of what are you trying to build, using whose ports from where, that kind of stuff. I have yet to figure out how to configure PolicyKit or polkit to behave sanely under XFCE, when mount and umount of external drives and usb sticks are concerned, but that is an another rant. hth Pedja
Hi Predrag, Thank you for responding. Checking here: http://www.freedesktop.org/software/polkit/releases/?C=M;O=D polkit-0.110.tar.gz 09-Jan-2013 20:04 is there a newr version available, so that I can edit the Pkgfile?
