Grub does not compile with crux-3.4-rc1
Hi all, I get this message while installing crux-3.4-rc1: "configure: error: GRUB requires a working absolute objcopy; upgrade your binutils". But my package binutils is already updated: /usr/ports/core/binutils/binutils#2.29.1-1.pkg.tar.gz' is up to date. Anyhow, upgrading binutils is not sufficient to fully build grub: "ERROR: Building '/usr/ports/opt/grub/grub#0.97-8.pkg.tar.gz' failed. While googling, I found many identical messages, but no one gives a resolutive way. I would much appreciate some simple suggestion to overcome this problem. Many thanks for a kind help. opt/grub is the old, legacy and unmaintained grub version 0.97. Use grub2 instead, which can be found in the opt collection as well and as a package on our ISO. See also: https://crux.nu/Main/Handbook3-4#ntoc58 Greetings Juergen
