start-stop-daemon: sync with Debian
Hello again, Guillem Jover apparantly swept out his repo which brings two changesets that avoid some needless bytes of memory footprint and As a side effect now a missing group after ‘:’ on --chuid is a fatal error. Find attached a diff on top of [3.2] that brings in [3db7a6e,bc07306] of dpkg.git and adjusts crux-patch.diff accordingly. (I've taken the opportunity to remove the no longer used xstrdup() function which blows the diff a bit; i'm too lazy to take appropriate upstream steps, hmm.) Looking forward for a nice, small and stable 3.2 system, Ciao, --steffen

once again a big thanks for your work. I've committed your changes today to our 3.2 branch. Greetings Juergen

It is still not in and [3.2] is still broken. I really go through the purgatory, according to dict.cc, but in German it's even worse... Sorry, I was a bit busy with vacation the last weeks, but now I'm back at work and the brand-new version 20150921 is in 3.2 ;) Thanks again, Juergen

I maintain all versions of Python for CRUX |I also maintain Docker and the Official Docker Image :) oh, it always sounds good if you talk about that stuff. Maybe too fatalistic by now, my anti-Python attitude. I plan to use and can afford to write software which all in all requires so many CPU cycles like a plain Python startup, nonetheless. :) |Do you even look? :) (X.X) I hope i haven't disturbed 3.2 development for too long with this one, really. The s-s-d code is so mature and clean, and yes i've really looked for the monotonic clock change, but this time it just flew by (yet i wondered about and looked for a writable->readonly memory change: dpkg.git [bc07306], imagine that). It's a shame. Nevernevernevernevernever. |cheers Cheerio! --steffen
