[ANN] CRUX-ARM 2.7.1 released
Greetings! We have released CRUX-ARM version 2.7.1. This release has some differences with CRUX 2.7.1 and it is delayed from upstream due to overwork we spent to get two stable variants: softfp and hardfp. This is an interim release to facilitate upgrades or new installs by saving time that would be taken up by updating quite a few out-of-date packages. This also means that current users of CRUX 2.7 with updated packages do not need to upgrade or reinstall! In addition for 2.7.1 we release a hardfp version which works on efikamx devices and similars based on ARCH armv7-a and FPU vfpv3-d16. We provide a set of core packages as a root file system in crux-arm-rootfs-2.7.1, ready to be deployed on the devices depending in how they manage the media. There is more info in device's documentation. Here there are the options: * crux-arm-rootfs-2.7.1 * crux-arm-rootfs-2.7.1-hardfp-efikamx At this moment, we are still working in a new install method, which provides a device tree customized for devices including bootloader files, kernel and the core collection packages. For now we are providing some files for efikamx devices: * crux-arm-2.7.1-efikamx * crux-arm-2.7.1-hardfp-efikamx Release Notes: http://crux-arm.nu/Documentation/ReleaseNotes2-7-1 Download page: http://crux-arm.nu/Main/Download Regards, -- Jose V Beneyto | http://sepen.it.cx/
