Hi Danny,
To get an idea of what crux define as stable, what version of gnome is currently in ports?
I just tried the gnome repository. The stable one (2.18.3). I'm not sure it's a good indication of anything apart from the what version of gnome is the most fallthrough default. It's not official, but contributed. It's a bit out of kilter with core, opt and indeed the new sourceforge URL scheme at current. CAVEAT: Unless I did something wrong. Chris K. chris.kruger@gmail.com

Gnome is the only one that's not been updated in a while, everythgn else has, don't expect gnome to build or run on recent crux, we are trying to sort out building new gnome. xfce and kde and any other WM that's in core/opt will work though. Regards, Danny Rawlins
