I recently upgraded to 3.2. Some of my top-level directories are symlinks. The upgrade process replaced the symlinks with actual directories. Is there a way to configure pkgadd to ignore certain directories? I put the following in my /etc/pkgadd.conf before the upgrade:
UPGRADE ^boot$ NO UPGRADE ^home$ NO
Is that syntax correct?
in principle, I would think your syntax is correct, but maybe a "/" at the end is missing. At least there's a slash in the .footprint files.
I upgraded another machine and tried adding a slash. Unfortunately, the symlinks are still replaced with directories. -- Daniel
